Handmade Postcards

This snow stuff is super frun to play with, quick, EZ peazy. Beginner friendly. And we get to use those do-dads too. No experience needed.

To use a Babsmom word.....I have a "coolio" idea for a postcard and as far as I know its original too!

Heres the back story if interested or skip ahead. A few years ago-go my sweet, darling, best cat friend, Amy passed. (quick heart attack)

I was making postcards with snow and shoving elements into the snow. It took on a Dali feel as I thought "her death just doesnt make sense" I took apart a eye, making it two pieces, pushed part of the eye on one side of the card and the other eye piece into the other side, etc. The title was "Theres a blizzard in my heart". I cried while making like 20 postcards. It was very helpful and I poured out the majority of the immediate grief. The other day I ran across those cards and thought "What on earth am I going to do with all these" Thats when I saw a swap.

1. 3 partners (I think its cool to see several renditions!)

2. Make a snow scene using COOLIO SNOW STUFF HERE or make your own. I've never done it but heard it can be done. I also dont know who has the cheapest snow; so price around.

3. Make a postcard, upcycle, recycle, pristine new, etc of a snowy scene. Minimum 4x6'ish. 'Youre gonna need the space for the objects. The snowy scene must include snow banks, snow drifts or a ground covered in snow. The rest of the scene can be anything. Into the snow you will sew...lol....into the snow you shove , depress 7 found objects....

(VERY ODD NUMBERING COMPUTER GLITCH. DISREGARD)

1. Something vintage can be broken, chipped(1970's and before)
2. Something red
3. Something industrial (very broad)
4. Something sparkly
5. Something garbage (that ordinarily gets tossed)
6. Something alphabet (be mindful paper will possibly warp)
7. Senders ch0ice

Must be 7 separate objects.

If you use snowtex you may like to know it dries really hard. So hard, in fact, I used heavy metal eyes and they are stuck! Just be sure to cover the edges of the object slighty. But peaks will snap/break off. So, not too high.

1. Since I like to send and rcv items in clear plastic/cello please place your postcard inside one....think the bags stickers come in.

2. Address the postcard on the card NOT the bag, add mock postage to the postcard, that way, it will really look like it went thru the mail. You dont need to mock the cancellation just add frun, used stamps. Add the postage to the outside.

3. Add your ID, and sprinkle with a snowy, warm smile.
