Description:

Have you ever heard or read a quote that just astonished you? Well, this is your chance to share it!

For this swap you will have 2 partners and make 1 ATC for each of them. So you will make a overall total of 2 ATC's. You can get the quote from pretty much any kind of media. (Magazines, Television, Movies, Books, Songs/Song titles, etc.) Basically, just write or type the quote on the ATC then make the background according to your quote.

Beginners are welcome, but you at least need to have a rating of 4.0 or higher. I will weed out any bad swappers so if you plan on not sending don't sign up! =] Remember though, HAVE FUN WITH IT!

haha. =] an atc is an artist trading card. A card that is basically the size of a normal playing card except you show off your artistic talents by creating something on this card that refers to the topic. in this case, your favorite quote.

Hey, since someone else asked and got an answer, I have a question...What exactly do you use for the "card" part of an ATC?? Is it cardboard, or what, and how do you cover it (the back, or "flip side" of the card) in order to make it look nice?? How thick does it need to be, etc...and how do you attach all the stuff to the front?? I am very interested in these, yet very intimidated, since I have never made one, and actually never even SEEN one...thanks for any and all advice!! Maybe I will get up the courage to make one if I can figure out how to and what it should look like....

Artist Trading Cards are individual art miniatures which pass hand to hand.Today the only rule for these cards is their 2.5 by 3.5 inch size (64 x 89 mm), same as baseball cards and collectible card games. Artists generally sign and date the back, and may also include a title and contact information.

Artist Trading Cards are typically made on a base of card stock. However, ATCs have been created on metal, stiffened fabric, plastic, clay, glass, balsa wood, leather, embroidery canvas, acetate, heavy watercolor paper, and many other materials. The art on the cards can be done in any media: textile arts, pencil, watercolor, acrylic, oil, collage, scratch board, mixed media, assemblage, digital art, calligraphy, beadwork, rubber stamps, carved soft block stamps, pen and ink, colored pencil, airbrush, pastels, and many others - anything artists use.

... Hope that helps.

for examples look up "Artists Trading Cards" on google images or photobucket.com or some such search engine. Good luck!
