Description:

Do you know Keri Smith (the creator of Wreck this journal)? She is so inspiring for me, with her beautiful prompts.

I own every book she published. One is "The imaginary world of".

For this swap you need to have the book ( youcan buy it on the official page ) OR to have a plain journal. You can also use a blog, or everything you use for journaling and exploring you.

"The imaginary world of" is a book in which you have prompts to create your own reality, so it's very personal and you can accomplish the challenge like you want. Feel free to use your own language.

This will be a series

.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

The start is create a page with written "The imaginary world of..." and your name. You can skip this phase if you want. You can use any medium.

The second phase is creating a kind of DATABASE of who are you . The FIRST TASK is answering to the question: What kind of world would you like to inhabit.

To answer to this question Keri Smith suggests some prompts: What kind of world would you like to retreat to? List some things that you like and dislike about the current world. Lis things that you like and dislike from different eras in history. What invokes wonder in you? Write the things you love in each category: books, movies, music, colors, materials and textures, smells, sounds, landscape, climate and weather, time period and eras, places and spaces, animals, artists, clothing, people, objects, toys and plays and entertainment.

You can use every prompts or just few or no one. But try to answer the question about what kind of world you want to inhabit, because it's the start of everything.

For THIS swap you have to email your partner a picture of your work.

I love Keri. This book I don't have yet and you gave me the perfect excuse to buy it.

@Angenita I love her a lot and this book seems delightful!

So then for this swap, it's a matter of answering the prompts above and say for media, one uses a blog. Then for each swap, it's a new blog post and you just have to pm your partner the link?

I just want to make sure I got this right.

dodothefairy 08/30/2016 #

@TeaRoll Yes.

In every swap you will send only the answer of the specific prompt. So you can send the link of your new blog post, or maybe you can one time make a collage, one time write on your journal and one time publish a picture on instagram if you get bored with blog, for example.

You can use every medium for every swap. The important thing is to share with your partner the experience of the single prompt taking into consideration. And make something that make you happy.

And since this is an imaginary world, I am an imaginary character.

TeaRoll 08/31/2016 #

I know, I'm probably making this more complicated then it has to be but...

Can we use already developed imaginary worlds? For example, The Imaginary World of Tea_Roll already excist because it's the character name I RPG with.

@cynaemon it's great!

@TeaRoll I'm happy of your questions, you can develop every word you want. You could imagine yourself like an imaginary you, you can develop your like as you like, you can develop a word that does not exist like a writer with his novel, you can change idea during the path. This project is about you and your happiness, like every challenge in this group. The only one rule is sharing with your partner your experience, in every way you feel comfortable.
