Description:
Take a business size envelope and cover it fully with artful goodness. Most people receive their utilities bills in them and as we are covering them an old one can be reused, sometimes turned inside out. Use collage, paint and/or any decorating style of your preference. Make sure it is totally covered back and front. This is Mail Art so make it stand out and be noticed! And please glue it all well if glue is your thing. And dry it well before sending. Don't make the address too hard for the postie to find and read. What a fun swap. Mail art intimidates me, but this has be thinking. Anyone have their mail art posted to Flickr? I would love to see samples and what others have done.

There are many examples and I recognise many from swap botters. Remember though that some of the examples as wonderful as they are,are not fully covered envelopes as required for this swap. you could start with paint , then stamp or collage. You could just collage or maybe draw and color/paint it. Do a scene or make it abstract.
I now like to open the envelopes along 3 sides so that I have pages for my junk mail art journals.

Is business size a certain very strict measurement or does this just mean any normal, store bought envelope bigger than postcard size?

Business size is what a computer sheet of paper folded in 3 will slip into.There are some slight size variations in different countries but I am aiming at a general size so that some are not sending a very small envelope as I have received in the past.
Most people receive their utilities bills in them and as we are covering them an old one can be reused, sometimes turned inside out.
