The job is to find songs that fit at least 15 of the categories below and put them on a CD. Don't repeat a category (unless you want to make a second CD, of course). You must use at least 15 different categories for this (although you're always welcome to make another CD and repeat categories from the first one!). You can use more than 15 categories on a CD, but you have to use at least that many.
Make sure to let your partner know which category each song fits into! And please do let them know the artist and title of the song, just in case they love it enough to want more! You'll have two partners for this, and it's international since CDs aren't that expensive to send even internationally.
The categories are:
A song that mentions a sign of the Zodiac
A song that reminds you of your best friend
A song that was popular when you were in high school (or the equivalent thereof)
A song about some form of communication
A song you really want to share with your partner (explain why!)
A song about a crime of some sort
What you consider the “perfect” love song
A song that mentions a geometric shape
A “perky” song
A song from any artist’s “Best of” or “Greatest Hits” CD
A song that you personally feel is any artist’s greatest work
Put your media player or iTunes (or equivalent) on shuffle. Use the first song that pops up.
A song from a Disney movie/cartoon
A song from a band that you just love the name of
A song about a disability of any sort (physical, mental, etc)
A song from an artist of which you own at least three CDs
A song that has been used in a stage musical
A song with a kind of metal in the title (steel, iron, gold, etc)
A song that mentions a musical instrument
A song that was the sole reason you bought a particular CD
A song that mentions a place that doesn’t really exist (Margaritaville, etc)
A song from an artist who became famous more than 20 years ago
A song that includes at least some talking
A song that reflects the time of year where you are (Autumn here in the States)
A song about love ending
