Welcome to the big annual 2016 Mail Call swap!

... for this swap, please also incorporate a mailbox in some way - either a drawing or photograph of a current or old mailbox or a description of your own mailbox, or a story about a mailbox -- it doesn't need to be the main focus of your swap (but it can be if you want it to be) - as an example, you might make or buy a small mailbox/replica and mail out your swap in it, or decorate the inside or outside with mailboxes, etc.

WIYM swappers in good standing that have been in past Mail Call series of swaps are eligible, along with all of the WIYM group leaders.

(If you haven't been in this swap in the past but are an experienced WIYM group swapper, please consider joining WIYM leaders and hosting some swaps to qualify - there's still time!)

Sign up runs through the end of August and the mailing deadline is September 22, 2016 -- the first day of the Equinox and the change of seasons all over the world, and with plenty of time so it's well before the holidays.

Send each of your two partners one piece of mail -- this is a type 3 swap - so package swap, along with INTENSE creativity please! (This is more than just a simple altered postcard -- you should plan to spend a minimum of one hour creating and/or $5 value on contents if store-bought items.)

Be fun and inventive -- WOW your partner!

Just some ideas to start with and form your mail call swap around

Outside might be:

-- altered or handmade piece of mail art, with fun innards

-- a big envelope plastered with stamps with special things inside

-- a deco-taped envelope

-- a partner's name spelled out with alpha letters

Inside might be:

-- theme such as Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter (or other non-seasonal themes -- circus, safari, vacation, etc!)

-- something "unusual" that isn't typically mailed

-- a package filled with special things for your partner (such as notecards, stationery, decorated envelopes, handmade items, craft supplies for crafts your partner does)

These are just some ideas -- this swap is wide open, so please share your ideas/links below in comments section

Please be sure to include a note for your partners, too - surprises are welcome and, although this is sender's choice mail, idea is to WOW your partners ...

SPECIAL BONUS coming your way -- If you join this swap, in addition to getting and sending 2 fun pieces of mail, once you have sent and been rated by your two partners, you will also get a bonus third piece of mail, a special WIYM surprise, for this swap only

Please don't wait until right before this is due to be mailed to start thinking about what you'll be mailing your partners -- there will be 3 weeks to think, organize and mail after the swap closes, in case you want to wait until partners are assigned to tailor your swap to your partner a bit (not mandatory, but always a nice touch!)

Please rate your sending partners promptly. Happy Swapping!

I was thinking of making a 'masterboard' that my partner can use to create ATCs, postcards or journal pages. I hope they do those kinds of things! LOL!
