No matter how you plan and prepare, each day brings its own unexpected encounters. No matter how predictable and mundane your life may feel, surprises await around the corner. These are called divine appointments. A divine appointment may be a wonderful contact with a long lost friend or an unexpected emergency that takes you to a hospital waiting room. There will always be many detours, disasters, and unexpected delights scattered along your path.

For this swap, send your partner a note in a note card or on pretty stationary. In the note include any divine appointments that you have encountered lately.

Along with your note, send your partner something that will inspire and encourage them. This could be a devotional, an inspiring story, a poem, some scriptures chosen especially for them...Send your partner something so they can rest, reflect and regain perspective in the middle of their busy day. Add a tea that they may enjoy as they read the letter and the special encouraging item.
