Have you tried Tim Holtz's distress crayons? Recollections Watercolor crayons, Crayolas Slick Stixs or Targets watercolor markers?
All are slightly different but blend into beautiful artistic projects. I have found great beauty in trying something new.

This swap is for 2 ATC's for 1 Partner, the background must be made with one of the above mentioned crayons/markers.

The subject matter is up you!

Be creative, stylish, artist and amazing! Use your glitter, ink, photos, tape or what ever you have handy to make two pieces of amazing art!.

Please no stickers (unless the stickers are words)

Happy Swapping!

I love, love, love Tim Holtz style and products, but I swear they break the bank... I don't have any of the distress markers. I may have to invest. Do you know if the colors blend well??

UPDATE : I really wanted to join this swap, and I wanted to try some techniques that I found online for creating backgrounds with watercolor crayons, alas I didn't have any and recently I haven't been able to splurge on such things, because I have WAY to much stuff that isn't finding new homes fast enough.

Long story short, I REALLY needed some happiness, and I needed some me time so I challenged myself to go into Michaels, take a 40% off coupon, and if I could find & choose a Tim Holtz distressed set and make it to the checkout in 5 minutes then I would buy it!!!

Total score, I went in, chose a kit that has 6 crayons, 1 mini ink pad, 5 clear stamps, an acrylic block, a paintbrush, 5 watercolor sheets and a technique booklet, with the coupon it cost $16 bucks, i'm really happy because I've never been able to go in, get what I intended to get and get out. I've also never spent less than $20 in there. Anyhoo just wanted to share my experience with someone that may be able to relate : )

Wow! I wish I could find that deal! I left Michaels the other day having spent only $23 and I may have gotten a job as the paper crafts teacher!!

Can I use another watercolor crayon, StampinUp, LYRA, or Gelatos?
