In this “Chopped” inspired swap, all participants will receive a kit of 6 items that they will have to use to create a piece of art. The kits will consist of mostly identical, flat-ish items suitable for paper crafting. You are encouraged to use additional items from your own stash to create an interesting piece of artwork for your partner.
THE RULES
Kits will be sent out to all participants after partner assignments have been made - this will ensure that only those who are actually able to participate get a kit and I’m not wasting supplies/postage. I will send them out the day of or the day after partner assignments. Extra time will be factored into the swap period for the mailing of the kits.
The swap is limited to 5 other participants besides myself (6 participants total). Please use the comment section below to let everyone know when you have received your kit safely. You can start your project as soon as your kit arrives. If the kit arrives damaged in any way (or doesn't arrive at all), please send me a message. I am 99.9% confident they will make it fine though.
Kits will contain: 1 image, 1 embellishment, 2 textural elements, 1 patterned paper and 1 wildcard item. You are required to use each different item in some shape or form in the artwork you create. Multiples of certain items will be sent as alternative options - you will only be required to use one of these (but are free to use all if you choose). Any leftover items are yours to keep.
You can make any type of artwork you wish with the items in your kit: ATC or other sized art card, altered tag, etc. - this is sender’s choice.
HOW you use the items is up to you as well. You can alter the supplies, use items as stencils/masks, make die-cuts - just be sure that each different item is used to some extent in your artwork.
This is not a competition to see who can make the most with the least. Please DO use additional items from your own stash along with the kit to make a creative and interesting piece of artwork for your partner.
Once the swap is underway, I will set up a thread in the forum where we can all show off our creations.
