Atypical Spring Color ATCs

This ATC swap salutes spring but with a twist. You know how most of us think of spring with pastel colors?

You'll be making an ATC for your partner that salutes spring but you cannot use any pastel colors - no pale pinks, greens, yellows.... So if you think of spring in terms of black and white, that's great. The ATC can be abstract or straightforward but must somehow reference spring. Add poetry, flowers that bloom in the spring, mud season, opening of baseball season - your choice.

Please make sure your ATCs are the appropriate size - sports trading card size or 2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm). Please be sure that your card base is sturdy enough to support whatever medium you use (painting, collage, etc). You may use 3D embellishments but keep in mind that if the envelope you mail your ATC in is too thick you will need to add more postage as it will beconsidered "non-machineable" by the US Postal Service and may either be returned to you OR your partner may be charged postage due..

Please be sure to label the back of your ATC with your name, swapbot name, the date the ATC was created (month/year OK), and the name of the swap. It'd be helpful also if you included a note with this info.

This is not a newbie friendly swap and you must have a 4.9 rating, with no 1's or 3's since January 1. This is a sender's choice swap but do take the time to check out your partners' profile for any really specific no-no's (like mine doesn't want nudity or foul language).

Ratings Guidelines: You must rate your partner a 5 if s/he has created a spring themed ATC that doesn't use any pastel colors and references spring in a clear way. A heart can be given for something extra special. 3's should be awarded if your partner doesn't follow the rules of this swap, and, of course, 1's go to someone who doesn't send you an ATC at all (do contact your partner first, though, and try to work something out before rating).
