Description:

Backgrounds. Sometimes I have a love/hate thing going on with them; I love how they add so much to a piece, but 'hate' them sometimes because I get temporary crafters block on how I want to make them. So, let's help share our creativity, shall we? For this swap, it's pretty simple. Make backgrounds for things like ATCs, paper projects, photo mats, tags, junk journals, mixed media etc. Only thing relatively complicated about it, will to make them various sizes, and to put some effort into the final design.

Rules- No unrated swappers, sorry. Bubble envie.

  • Four ATC sized pieces

  • Four 2.5 x 5

  • Two 6.5 x 4.5

  • Six 3 x 4

So in essence, you will be creating four backgrounds, and then cutting them to size. I've tried to make sizes for ATCs, tags, photo mats, and journaling spots, or however you'd like to use them. Please keep in mind the type of paper you use, copy/printer paper would be a bad choice. I myself don't have watercolor paper, but I do have heavy cardstock that I know will stand up to whatever I decide to do for backgrounds, doubling up if I need to. Try to keep your partners preferences in mind, especially color wise. If you are so inclined to use modeling paste, you are welcome to do so for the tags and ATCs, but it's not a requirement.

While I'm not expecting you to make a Picasso, it should also not look like you just slapped down a bunch of stamped images and called it a day. It should be something you're proud of, and would love to receive yourself. It should be obvious you've taken time, pride and care in your work. I will angel if necessary, any flakers will be banned from my future swaps. Please provide sufficient postage.
