Postcard Poetry

April is National Poetry Month here in the US. This year is actually the 20th anniversary of the event which was started in 1996 by the Academy of American Poets. People can celebrate in many ways.

For this swap, we will be sending our partners a poem on a postcard.

The poem can be written by you or can be by another poet. If the poem is long, please feel free to use a portion of the poem but make sure there is at least four lines on the postcard. Also, make sure that you include the title and author of the poem you send.

In Summary:

• Send two partners a postcard with at least four lines of poetry
• You may use your own poetry or someone else's
• Include the title and author of the poem
• Include your Swap-Bot name and the swap title on the postcard
• Postcards can be store bought or handmade
• Enjoy poetry in your mailbox!
