Let's play with making our own PC background, using paint and cling wrap (also known as saran or plastic wrap). Here is a really easy tutorial (scroll down to the second half of the page) but you may use any other tutorial you like using paint and cling wrap. When done with your background, cut it into an appropriate PC size (4" x 6" is a common one) and securely adhere it to a sturdy backing for its travels through the postal system. On the front, add a quote/saying of your choice (hand letter it or use a stamp or produce it digitally or use a rub-on - whatever works for you). If you wish to add further embellishment to your PC, you may, but this is not a swap requirement. Protection for the front of it is up to your judgment but the back of the PC must be naked and stamped (no full lamination or cello bags please). Write a note to your partner about your experience with this technique. Have fun! |
