Description:

This is a twist on my BMGP series. This one isn't about crafts, it's an email swap. I've done a few of these to tide me over between physical swaps and they've been so much fun. So I came up with an idea to do one of my own. Let's see how this goes!

This email swap is about one of my favorite things to do in the whole wide word: LAUGH. I love to laugh. I seriously love funny. Especially during this time of year when it's getting cold and gray (and we've had lots of wind and rain so it's colder and grayer than usual) and it's dark by 4:30 I need to keep those endorphin levels up so that I don't start writing dark poetry and listening to Joy Division. At least not ALL of the time :)

Think about things that you have READ or WATCHED online that have had you laughing in fits and make a list of FIVE to send to a partner in an email. This is a simple list - just put a bit of clickable text with the title/description and tell your partner how you came across the video (you did a search on "funny fishing videos").

You could put 5 YouTube videos or 5 blog posts. You could mix them up. Maybe there is a particular Yelp review or review on Amazon you've read that made you shoot your drink out of your nose. Or a buzzfeed list?

The rules are simple:

  1. You will have ONE partner to send to*.

  2. Your list must contain FIVE things with a link

  3. Tell your partner how you discovered each thing.

  4. Videos should be no longer than 2 minutes except for ONE - you may have ONE longer video (let's cap it at 6 minutes). Blog posts should be quick reads. If people like this swap I may do one with fewer items that can be longer.

  5. It's sender's choice but please take a look at your partner's profile - especially their dislikes/do not sends.*

A partner who sends 5 things, whether or not you find them funny (that's the thing about funny, it's hotly debated!) should get a 5 - you decide what gets a heart. If you receive a list that you feel isn't a 5, give your partner feedback privately and a chance to make it up to you. If someone flakes on you please let me know and I will angel.

Newbies are welcome and I'm not doing a rating minimum but I will go through participants and remove as I see necessary. If you've flaked and I can tell from your profile I will likely boot you.

Have fun!

*I'm pretty irreverent and have a wicked sense of humor. That said, if I see that I have a partner who has a particular dislike or belief I'm not going to send something that I can tell would offend them. While you can't read minds, take a second to review their page and try to avoid something that will offend. If you do get something that offends you it's a hazard of the game.
