Description:

This swap-idea was given by LadyRisa.

For this swap, you make 1 postcard for 1 partner, with pressed plants/leaves/flowers on it.

This swap has a long running time, to give everybody enough time to find flowers and press them. For pressing you can buy a special flowerpress, but they will press and dry between newspaper and books as well.

Make a nice composition, and make sure everything is stuck well. It is allowed to use a protection layer like modge pod, spray or adhesive foil. Send it written and stamped through the post. No envelopes, please :-)

Information @LadyRisa gave:

i use phone books to press my flowers. The thin tissue like pages seem to allow for the right amount of air while applying the proper amount of weight. i collect flowers when in bloom, spread out on phone book pages & then forget about them until i have another project. You want to make sure the flowers are laid flat. For some flowers this means pressing only the petals. Once they're dry & pressed, they last forever. I use a glue stick or small amount of Elmer's glue to stick flowers to a surface. Then I seal with modge podge. I hope this helps any that haven't done this before.
