Description:

In this swap, we will get creative with our washi tape and make a washi note card and decorated envelope for our partner to use. We will also include at least 4 samples of washi tape for our partner to play with.

Fine Details

  • Your washi card may be any design you choose it to be. Do a "Google" search on washi tape cards if you need inspiration. Please don't just put on strip of tape an call it done. The more the merrier.

  • You will use some of the same tapes you used on your card, to decorate the envelope. Again, use several strips (different colors/designs) - remember, the more the merrier. The envelope must be a mailable size (The USA minimum is 3 1/2 inches x 5 inches).

  • Your tape samples should be a minimum of 18 inches (45.72 centimeters) each. Wrap your tape samples around a shiny surface so they can easily be removed. If using playing cards, please wrap with packing tape, as sometimes the layer of tape that is wrapped first peels up some of the card design, rendering it useless.

  • Include the name of the swap, your name, and swap-bot ID in your mailing envelope.

  • Put your washi card, envelope, and tape into another envelope for mailing. You MUST decorate your outer envelope with washi tape - add several strips (or bits & pieces), not just one or two. In fact, the more the merrier!! There is absolutely no excuse for sending plain envelopes when we have washi tape! :)

Minimum joining requirements: You must have completed ten Type 2 or 3 swaps in the last 4 months and have been favorably rated for all of them. Flaking will not be tolerated in this group.
