Description:

This is a reading/book themed swap with a few different aspects to it. I wanted to host a reading/book swap but not just a letter, I wanted to spice it up a little! So here's what we are going to do...

1) One partner & international.

2) You will be writing your partner 1 letter talking all about books and answering the questions below. Please write in the comments below whether you have a preference handwritten or not.

3) Included in the letter you will be sending 1 item to go with it. Only something small. I would think along the lines of a bookmark, a bookplate, a book/reading themed ATC, themed ephemera or stationery like a postcard or starionery with a reading/book theme, maybe a hot drink to drink whilst reading? Please check your partners profile for ideas, and avoid sending something they wouldn't use. For example, if your partner does not make or trade ATC's, perhaps don't send them an ATC. Try and keep it swap related and not just send some random stickers.

Handmade or storebought.

4) Decorate your envelope nicely before sending off in the mail. This doesn't have to be swap theme.

Your letter Please don't just print off these questions & answer them with 1 sentence. Use these questions as prompts to talk, discuss in your letter, along with an introduction/about you, and maybe some discussion about your love for reading/books and what you are reading at the moment, etc.

  • What is one of your all-time favourite books?

  • Are you a fast or slow reader?

  • What do you like to do whilst reading? (Snacks, reading in bed or in a library, etc)

  • What book did you read last and what you did think of it?

  • Choose a few books on your "to-read" pile and tell me about them. Why do you want to read them?

  • Can you recommend me a book?

If you have a goodreads account or something similar, it might be helpful to post that in the comments below so your partner could look at your profile/shelves & get an idea of things you like to read so we could talk about it in our letters. However this isn't required!

This is a type 3 swap because you are decorating the envelope & some people may include a handmade item. You are not required to send a parcel. A letter and a storebought bookmark in a decorated envie is an example of what is required.

Enjoy, bookworms! :)

I prefer handwritten letters only please. I have a goodreads account here: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/2334047-naomi-cooper

So requirements are to write a letter along with decorating the envelope + the questions and a little item? How long should the letter be before we start answering the questions.

I'm not bothered if it's typed or handwritten the choice is yours =]

I have terrible hand writing and truly need to type my letter if my partner will be okay with that. I will check after they are assigned. But I am REALLY looking forward to the swap. I love books!

I am totally fine with handwritten or typed letter. I also have terrible handwriting that even I can't read half the time, so I would really like to type my letter. I really hope that's ok with my partner. I'll double check once partners are assigned.

I do love handwritten letters but if for any reason you cannot I'd love your letter nonetheless :)

I am okay with both handwritten or typed :) I love handwritten but if it is easier for you to type, please do! ;)

You can send me a handwritten letter or a typed one :-)

I don't mind either form of letter =D So if you need to type go ahead. If you prefer handwritten go ahead. I like both as long as I get a nice letter.
