…I had a lot of fun during the last title swap Artistic hosted so I am hosting Round 2…

Have you ever come across a line or phrase while reading or listening to a song and think, "Hey, that would make a great title"? If so, this is the swap for you. If not, join up and see what the Muse sends your way during the swap period.

For this swap, we'll spend two weeks jotting down at least ten words, phrases or sentences that we come across in any format: books, poems, articles, TV, music, art, etc. If it's already a title, it doesn't count (i.e. "Gone with the Wind," "Twilight," etc.) These should be things that could lend themselves to be the title of a novel or short story or play or other creative work.

For example, just in today's newspaper are the following which could be titles of something else:

  • Frozen Times (from a front page promo to a story about ice cream)
  • A Golden Sunset (part of the photo captain on an image of a great blue heron)
  • I Know What You're Thinking (from a line in a sports column)

Send your partner a copy of your list and be sure to identify where you got it. Feel free to include any additional information you'd like to share about the experience. The list should be typed or legibly handwritten.

Snail mail. International. Group membership.

This is great for me. I need the mental exercise.

A long list went out to my partner today. Enjoy!
