Use this template!

For this swap, let's all use the same paper doll template, but show how different and unique we are as artists by doing our own thing with that very same template. Then mount the paper doll on a #8 shipping tag or similar size background for your doll.

You can mix or match doll parts from any of the 3 pages of templates on that website. (even the mermaid) For this swap – the doll joints can be glued in place, or create moveable joints with brads or similar fasteners. Please use the templates in as close to full size as you can, but don't worry if your printer doesn't make that 1" scale on the template exactly 1" - not worth fretting about!

Paint it, color it, stamp it, draw it, dress it up or down – you decide what kind of paper doll to make. Just make sure you use these templates as the base for your doll shape. Then go crazy! Please use at least 3 artistic techniques (draw, paint, emboss, embellish, joint, add fiber, you get the idea) I rarely say “senders choice all the way!” but I'm doing it on this swap to set your creative muse in motion. Create a paper doll you would love to have for yourself. Then send it off in it's envelope chariot – off to be loved by your swap partner who respects the artist in you.
