Description:

I love to decorate envelopes with washi's that go together. That doesn't mean they're the same color, just that they complement each other. This swap is for coordinating washi samples- sender's choice. You're going to make 2 sets of 4 coordinating washi samples for your one partner. That's 8 samples in all. One solid color per set allowed. Each sample needs to be at least 15 inches long. Wrap them on playing cards or thick cardstock that has been covered in clear tape. Please don't forget to do this because that last layer sticks to most surfaces and can't be used. Also, please don't wrap so tightly that the crease won't come out.

Real washi only! No glitter, plastic, peel-and-stick, or dollar store brands. Add a note with the swap name and your swapbot name. Decorate the envelope with washi!

Here's a good site on complementary colors...

In addition, you could start out with a multi-colored tape and pick other colors to match to it, right?

Or, perhaps look at some of the many decorative papers out there, it might be good inspiration too.

Just some thoughts...
