This swap is USA only for now. Feel free to start an international one if you'd like! Wouldn't it be great to get a pretty new Christmas stocking with a little surprise?? We will swap 1 handmade Christmas stocking filled with a $5 profile surprise for 1 partner. The surprise can be 1 item or a few, as long as you think your partner would like it. Stockings are easy to make, so don't be afraid if you've never made one before. There is an easy sewing pattern here- easy stocking pattern You can knit or crochet one, if you'd like, just make it pretty and something that you would love to receive yourself. Decorate and embellish it any way you'd like! This is a great opportunity to "craft outside the box" :) Have fun!!! No flakers, and you must have completed at least 3 swaps already.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to leave a hint here as to what you'd like, but it is up to the sender because it's supposed to be a suprise lol :)

sewandgrow - I'm glad you made it. I haven't been back to check the comments until today (sorry). I deleted the first comment you left because it was very wide and made everything on the page all wonky. Not sure why it did that, but it's nothing personal!!! :)

I joined a "Secret Santa Swap" last year and my surprise was that I didn't receive anything. BUT, I love swapping, so here I am again. I plan to check profiles, but suggestions would be helpful also. Joan

How big or long should the stocking be?

I'd say the stocking should be around 12 inches or so, like the standard sizes you see at the stores.

MARINDA - My stocking arrived today. Believe it or not - I opened the box, took out your wonderful crocheted stocking, DID NOT LOOK INSIDE, and hung it on the coat closet door in the foyer. It is the first thing you see when you come in my front door. There it will hang until at least the first of December (I hope, lol). I will post again when I have looked inside. Thank you soooo very much. Joan

i couldn't make one due to family issues. i had a death in the family, brother found out he had cancer and my mothers health has failed. i stuffed the stocking i sent as full as i could and i deeply apologize for any inconvenience

i received mine. and i am assuming that my stocking wasn't up to par with who i was teamed up with. i had a death in family and other family things and she complained about mine not being homemade. i thought the stocking i got though was really pretty and stuffed it with about $20 to $25 in stuff. oh well tis the season i guess. i did love mine from my partner. she made me a beautiful stocking and put it full of goodies for my candy making..thanks so much
