Description:

One of my favorite paper crafts is creating my own envelopes. For this swap we'll be sending a letter or note card in a handmade envelope.

There are plenty of envelope templates and other gadgets out there, like the envelope punch board, that make it easier than ever. You can also create your own template by taking apart an already made envelope and tracing around it.

Envelopes can be made from scrapbook paper, old book pages, maps, sheet music, brown paper grocery bags, etc. Do be sure to seal your envelope carefully. Glue, tape, etc. It needs to survive the postal system!

You must include a handwritten (or typewritten with a typewriter) note on a note card or stationery sheet. Letter should fill up the entire note card, or 1-2 pages of stationery. Make sure you include the swap name as well as your username!

Please no plain white notebook paper! If you're out of stationery, decorate your own with washi, stickers, markers, paint, etc. This is a chance to be creative.

If you upload photos of your swap to Instagram be sure to add the hashtag #normalenvelopesareboring

This swap will be USA only. If you'd like to host your own International or regional swap, please feel free to copy any or all parts of this swap!

I'll be checking addresses and profiles before assigning partners. Please no recent 1s or 3s that are unexplained. Newbies with fully completed profiles will be allowed. Make sure you understand how swap-bot works before you join this swap! I reserve the right to remove anyone from the swap who I deem to be sketchy.

As I say in all my swaps... I don't like flakes (unless they are frosted). That said, I will angel if needed. However, this certainly won't be necessary, because I've embedded a magical honesty spell on this swap. And anyway, I'd hate to dispatch my rabid guinea pig if a dishonest soul somehow slipped through my perimiter. Thou hast been warned!

Happy swapping, friends!

Just to check, typed and printed on a printer aren't okay?

As long as it's printed on some sort of nice stationery and/or decorated, I don't mind typed and printed with a printer.
