QnT Share the Wealth & inspire, USA

03-06-15 thru 03-31-15

This is a de-stash swap to downsize items we no longer plan to use that just may inspire someone else to create a masterpiece!

Due to postage expense this will be a USA only swap. If you'd like to set up an international version of this swap and copy any or all of these options, please feel free to do so.

You will have 1 partner to send 6 of the items listed below. Anything I get in this swap I will share with my quilting friends at church who are beginner quilters and inspired by EVERYTHING! Everything quilting is new to them!

SENDERS should send good useable items, never trash. Swap-bot golden rule: Always send the quality you'd like to receive.

RECIPIENTS rate fairly remembering this is a de-stash swap.

  1. -- 1 fat quarters of 100% cotton quilting fabric (fq = 18"X21-22")

  2. -- 2 fat eights of 100% cotton quilting fabric (fat Eigth - 9"X21-22")

  3. -- a sandwich bag of new embellishments (ribbon, rick rack, lace, rosettes, decals, iron-on, charms, beads, buckles, tassels etc) NOTE: "New Embellishments" means not so old it is rotten, rips easily or is stained or frayed. Send embellishments you have leftover that are in good condition. (sandwich bags are approximately 6 1/2" X 6 1/2")

  4. -- 15 or more misc. buttons, any size shape or color in a zippy bag, no rusty or broken buttons

  5. -- UFO, unfinished object, as in quilt blocks cut out and not sewn together, a pillow case you started to embroider and never finished, a mini art quilt that needs quilting, etc Be sure to include all the pieces parts for the UFO you send, including embroidery floss if specific to the project. If you don't have all the parts, don't send it. Don't forget the instructions for the project if needed.

  6. -- two or more orphan quilt blocks (left over completed blocks from your projects, not the defective ones either) if you have a pattern for them send it too! They don't have to be from the same pattern.

  7. -- embroidery patterns (these could be opened packages of iron-on embroidery patterns part of which you’ve used and the rest have not been transferred) This could also be new unused patterns you won’t ever get around to using, or maybe you have duplicate patterns and only need one. NOTE: Please don't send iron-on patterns that are so old they don't transfer anymore.

  8. -- 1/4 yard of print quilting fabric (100% cotton)

  9. -- 1/4 yard of solid fabric (100% cotton quilting fabric)

  10. -- 3 new embroidry floss and/or a package of embroidery needles

  11. --4 fancy fabric pieces for crazy quilt blocks, velvet, brocaide, etc. These need to be 3"x3" or bigger, (they don't have to be exactly square, but big enough to use on a crazy quilt block)

  12. -- 1 tote, pouch or bag (hand made or store bought) I have a bag full of these in all shapes sizes and colors, some zippered, some with handles etc.

  13. -- sandwich bag full of 100% cotton quilting scraps (recommended sizes: strips of 1" X 4" or larger or pieces 4"X4" or larger) please do not send torn, frayed or faulty fabrics

If you think of something else you'd like to send that is not mentioned above please feel free to do so, but you must send 6 of the items listed above.

Lets get busy sharing and inspiring!
