Surprise Mail Art Postcard Challenge USA

I am guessing this is not internantional...but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. =)

Where do you get clear envelopes? Do you make them out of vellum, or can you buy them?

This does sound like a real challange...I am taking a deep breath and going for it! Have not done mail art before. I think it will be lots of fun. Thanks for the later due date.

I just re-read the description of the swap. You will be sending out the stuff. Then we make a postcard, will we send it to our partner? I can see that as being the only way we can be rated. Other wise how would be rated. I am confused! (like always!)

Heres the postcard I created with my materials I recieved today (:

I'm not quite sure I understand how to mail the postcard....You put it in the clear envie, but where do you put the stamp? Inside? How does the post office cancel it? It's really late and my brain isn't working again.

Ok, I'm thinking it thru...You address and stamp the clear envelope, right? Is this a blank post card? Or do we write a note on it? See, my brain is still in cramp mode.

I'll take a pic of my creation too. I am sending out to my partner.

I have the same question as mamajoy--do we write on the card, or send it blank for our partner to be able to use it sometime?

If we write on it, we don't have to worry about addressing the envelope as the ink will show through. So..?

i sent mine addressed on the postcard and i just took a chance and put the stamp on the outside of the envelope otherwise your right the post office wouldnt be able to cancel the stamp so they would probably try to open the envelope to cancel it if you put your stamp on the inside...

Is anyone else having trouble coming up with a good postcard using the randome stuff, plus their own. My creative bug has escaped me, and I look at my stuff and say "what am I gonna do with this this???" argh...

got mine done, right at the line! I was having a heck of a time thinkg of what to make, (even dreamt about it!) so I ended up making a bit of a silly card. I missed the post today, but it will go out tomorrow.
