DIY Smashbook

I love making smash books but I haven't seen a swap for them in awhile. This swap is a labor of love so please don't sign up unless you are willing to put your heart into.

For this swap you make a smash book for your partner. If you've never made a smash book before that's okay. There are plenty of tutorials out there.

Swap Details:

1) Your book may be completely handmade or upcycled from a notebook or book (composition book, moleskine, old hardcover book etc.). If you make your book from scratch the cover needs to be at minimum the thickness of a cereal box.

2)You need to decorate your smashbook. Lots of little tags, pockets, stickers, washi tape, quotes, and more. Try to include some decorative aspects that your swap partner would enjoy. Your smash book should include a minimum of 3 pockets, 3 quotes, 3 journal boxes or journal prompts, and 3 items which are profile based.

3) Create a two page spread about yourself.

4) The book should contain a minimum of 30 pages.

Important Points:

• Every page should have some decorative element to it. No solid white pages. This should be a work of art.

• I recommend you send your book in a bubble mailer or box.

• If you choose to use ephemera please use items of good quality and not junk.

• Remember you are creating a work art for another person. Look at their profile and avoid using items on their dislike list.
