After a long winter it is time to celebrate the kid in all of us with a fun mail art swap centered around good, old-fashioned crayons.

For this swap you need four things:

1) an image you have colored or drawn for your partner and will be sending them in an envelope,

2) an uncolored image you are sending your partner in that same envelope,

3) quick note of explanation inside identifying your username, swap name, etc. (you can write more if you like but it is not required),

4) all of this is sent in an envelope that is addressed in crayon and/or decorated in crayon or colored on in some way.

This swap does not require buying a coloring book: there are plenty of images available online to color and some companies will send you free blank pages via email (Dovor Coloring Books are my favorite). Posting this early in the year so people who are interested can "watch" and look for coloring pages they like.

Just to be clear: you might color something from a store-bought coloring book, you might find an image to color off the Internet, you might hand draw something for your partner on a blank page ... whatever works for you. The goal is to have fun and create a fun envelope for your partner.

Minimum size for the images in the envelope will be 5 x 7, we won't set a maximum since most people will be limited by shipping costs ... but if someone sends a mural or something please post a picture! Do not worry about folding your images before sending them in the related envelope - there is no minimum size for the envelope and it is expected you will fold the page you have colored on and related items before sending them through the mail.
