Description:

Most of you know what nesting dolls are right? It usually starts with a large, colorful wooden doll that opens up to reveal a smaller doll, which also opens up to reveal yet a smaller doll, and so on and so forth until you end up with the last tiny doll.

In this swap, we will use same concept but we will be doing it with envelopes. You will start with a larger handmade envelope and keep making envelopes a bit smaller so they all nest inside each other until you have a teeny, tiny envelope into which you will put a small treasure. This treasure can be a lucky coin, charm, teeny card, embellishment, a pretty inchie, etc. For ideas on what to put in the smallest envelope, please check your partner's profile.

Please make your envelopes out of pretty papers; no plain ones allowed this time. :)

Keep in mind that you are to send at least 5 nesting envelopes to your partner, but if you want to challenge yourself to see just how many you can get to nest, feel free to do so.

Only seal the outer envelope that your envelopes are being sent in, so that your partner can use the envelopes on the inside if they choose to do so.

Please do not use flimsy magazine or book pages for your envelopes.

Have fun! :)

For those of us with envelope punch boards, making these envelopes goes pretty quickly. I just did a set last night and with a little adjustments to the measurements, was able to get 8 that nest. Fun, fun! :)

If you don't have the punch board, you could copy a template on the copier and then shrink it down in increments to get as many sizes as you need.

I have a punchboard but yet to figure it out. :-(
