Description:

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way ....

It's time to start getting ready for Christmas!

I'll be running a series of group Christmas swaps between now and Christmas. Come and join in!

For this first swap, send your partner 3 wrapped stocking fillers.

You should send at least three individually wrapped (doesn’t have to be Christmas paper) small gifts. If you take part in a few of these you will have a lovely stocking full of goodies to open at Christmas.

Items are sender's choice, but it is always a good idea to check your partner's likes and dislikes list. Sweets and chocolate are allowed as long as they are individually wrapped (if sweets) or in a sealed bag, and they must have a use by date of at least the end of January 2015 – we don’t want to be opening out of date sweets at Christmas!!

Each gift must be worth at least £1 ($1.60 US, 1.20 euros) and all gifts must be new and shop-bought.

Some ideas on things you could send;- Pens, pencils, bookmarks, keyrings, small jewellery items, notebooks, sticker sheets, postcards, notecards, chocolate, candy, hand cream, body lotion, salt and pepper shakers, Washi tape rolls, ornaments, socks, rubber stamps, craft materials, etc. If you are sending things like postcards, please do not just wrap an individual postcard!!!!

Please label each gift with the swap name and with your Swap-bot name. You should rate your partner as soon as you receive your baggie with at least 3 wrapped items, and you can always go back and add comments after Christmas when you have opened them.

This is an international swap so do think about postage -- a heavy hardback book probably isn't the best idea!

Any questions please comment below or PM me. I'll probably answer private messages more quickly, but either is fine.

You must have a rating of at least 4.97 with no unresolved, or unexplained 1’s or 3’s, no matter how old they may be.

Unrated newbies are welcome.

I check participants periodically, and do a final check just prior to assigning partners. If you have any late swaps on your dashboard at that point, you will be removed.

Would it be okay to request that my partner send a gift for my kids or husband instead of me? No pressure. =) Thank you.

hazelwitch3 10/ 2/2014 #

That's fine with me, but it's up to your partner whether they want to send a gift for your kids or husband or whether they still want to send to you -- they might have already done some planning or shopping about what they are sending. Either way, it will count as fulfilling the swap requirements.

I'm a newbie and for some reason I can't pull up my swap partners address? Do you have any ideals for me to get her address?

chillipepper1959 10/12/2014 #

Like I said lm a newbie ,I just figured it out Duuuu.

Sorry chilli -- I've just seen your comments -- but I'm glad you figured it out! Welcome to Swapbot!

I have to put a customs label with the exact description of the content when sending to countries outside of the EU so it won't be a surprise for my partner when she gets it even though I wrapped it.

I don't look at the customs form sometimes as it spoils the surprise lol
