Writerly Halloween Greeting

For this swap you're going to send a store-bought Halloween card to your partner. Inside the card write about something that pertains to both writing and Halloween. There's plenty of room for your interpretation on this subject, but I've listed some ideas below. Please fill at least one side of a standard 5x7 inch greeting card--if your card is smaller, then please write on both sides.

Some ideas for things you could write about:
- A literary character or author you're dressing up as
- Your favorite horror books/authors or a scary book you intend to read
- A ghost story tour you went on
- The Halloween décor or menu items at your favorite writing hangout
- Speculate how many times Edgar Allan Poe will be quoted (or misquoted) at you
- A spooky flash fiction
- Estimate how many pieces of candy corn you'll cram into your mouth on Halloween night as you desperately wait for NaNoWriMo to start
- Invent your own!
