This swap is for the month of August swap #2 Monthly ATC Swap Group.

The theme for this swap is Baby Wipe background using Easter egg dyes. The ATC can be any theme that you would like.. however, the only requirement is that you must use a clean, dry baby wipe and decorate it with Easter egg dyes.

And you may use any media..stamped, cutouts, stickers, lace, buttons, words or what ever you like..

Directions: Take one dry baby wipe or other type of wipe. You will take the dye (type of dye is up to you, however, you must use egg dyes). You may wet the wipe to help the color spread or you may drip it on. The method is up to you, I've included a sample above. It was made using marblizing egg dye with glitter in dye.

This should be a fun and creative swap, I look forward to seeing how each of you interprets the swap.

As stated in the forum sticky This is 1 atc for 1 partner...

And it's an international swap

For anyone having trouble finding egg dye, feel free to use food coloring. blackeyed susan suggested food dye and vinegar. I think that would work as well.

Please let me know if you have any problems finding dye to use. If a whole bunch of you have problems finding dye, I could move the swap to a time closer to Easter.

I hope I don't have to, part of the fun is to see what others use and how creative they get.

That is great news as I think in Finland they don't even sell those special egg dyes, but I think we have general food dyes instead. I check first and sign if I find any that will be usable for this :)

Hi Piiata:

Regular food dye will work. And you may be as creative as you wish for using the dye.

My only request is that it is egg dye or food dye, not fabric dye. :-)

Egg-celent! I wanted to do this swap, but I knew I'd never find easter egg dye now . . . food color it is!

Well I have learnt something - I have never heard of easter egg dyes. Seems to be an interesting swap and will be interested to see what people create - alas I will not be taking part as I don't have easter egg dyes and have to be careful with food colouring dyes. If anyone does a similar swap with sprays/spritz dyes or alcohol inks - then let me know.
