August Ornament - Day of the Dead

Let me know if you have a theme you'd like for one of the monthly ornament swaps! If there is interest we'll keep going through December - or even continue again next year.

Yes, way back in January. Theme's we've had so far:

Witch, Cemetary/tomb, Trick-or-Treat, Haunted House, known character, moon, sender's choice, and day of the dead.

We could always do witch again, I like witches :)

How animals that fly? That could cover owls, ravens, other birds, and bats.

Love the animals that can fly idea :) Bats and ravens are classic <3

That is a good idea, @echo05 We can do that for September since we haven't done it yet. I'll do witches again before the year is up, though.

Full disclosure on myself: I will be very late sending the July ornament to my partner :( I let her know as soon as I realized what happened. I left the almost finished ornament and threads needed at home. I believe in the purse I was using the day before leaving. I will finish and send once I return home. I have all the supplies needed for other ornaments and swaps and am buying threads for them and they will be sent on time.

If this makes anyone not want to join my swap, I understand but hopefully you still join as I always send.

Going through participants - should have partners assigned later on the 4th or early morning on the 5th.

How about a Catrina?

That does look cool! The style of ornaments I make though it is tough for me to do more than just the DotD face and branch into the body to show it is a female. It would be great if you or someone else hosted a Catrina ornament or swap!
