Description:

An aerogramme is an old-fashioned way of sending mail from a distant location. I guess I must be "old" because I recall getting a few of these from friends in East Africa and Germany years ago. They contained nothing but lovely words ~~ a letter was a letter ! And postage was considered high back then, so having a sheet of paper, creatively folded in the shape of a letter was an ingenious way of sending greetings.

They are easy to make! You can of course use a template but looking at the illustration, they are easy to create.

  • so send a letter in the form of an aerogramme to your one partner

  • use cool, designed paper or decorate it crazily!

  • say anything you like in the letter, but some suggestions are about you, your family, your time on swap-bot, your hobbies and many more things you'd like to say!

  • aerogrammes used to come with postage so you will have to affix appropriate postage

  • then glue or tape it and pop it in the postbox!

  • have lots of fun with this and list questions/comments below.

All welcome!
