Description:

OK, I'M SORRY THAT I AM SO SO LATE!! But I had exams and so many works to do in these days that I haven't even signed in swap-bot many many days.. :( Anyway, there will be second and many others rounds of this swap, I didn't forget it!

So, IF YOU ARE NEW HERE, please follow these rules:

Your notebook:

  • For this swap you need to have one notebook (size of A5). You can decorate covers for yourself or leave them what they were – it doesn‘t matter. If you like them them, we‘ll like them too :)

  • On the first pages please introduce yourself and the place where you live shortly. I don‘t set the page numbers that must be filled, but please leave place for the others, hehe :)

  • You can make the list of things you‘d like to know about other countries or cities – you‘ll make your partners task much easier :)

  • You can write how much entries you‘d like to see in your travelling notebook – then the last person just will send your notebook back.

  • It‘s IMPORTANT!! Don‘t forget to write down your own address that the last person would know where to return fully-filled (or less, if you ask so) notebook!

When you get the notebook:

  • If there‘s a list of things you should say about your country/city, then please follow it!

  • If there isn‘t, then feel free to tell anything you want :) You can write about places worth visiting, meals worth eating etc. You can add some photos if you want, but don‘t fill pages with just photos and short titles of them. Also I know there will be people from the same countries, but in every country is MANY places worth seeing so please check previous entries and don‘t repeat the same visiting objects.

  • You are allowed to fill 2 pages (both sided) maximum.

  • Would you like to host some couchsurfers from other countries? :) Then add your contacts (e-mail is enough)!

  • Don‘t damage the notebook! I‘m sure you wouldn‘t like to get back yours taken with oily hands, find pieces of food between pages or just see the pages being crumpled – so please don‘t do this to others notebooks.

IF YOU WERE ON THE 1ST ROUND, then you know what to do! Fill in the notebook you've got and wait for the announcement of your partner, so you'll can send it further :)

NO FLAKERS! I WILL NOT ANGEL ON THIS SWAP! So please plan – if you won‘t be able to send the notebook further, then don‘t participate. If you want to be sure that the notebook won‘t be lost, then you can register it (if it‘s not too expensive to you), but it‘s not necessary, I think.

The minimum rating is 4.95. No unexplained 1s/3s. I will check every profile!

Hi! I joined the swap and got a beautiful notebook, but it's almost A5 sized. In Chile we use a different metric system, in centimeters, so the A5 is supposed to be 14.8 x 21 cms, my notebook is 12.5 x 17 cms. Which is very close, and since the notebook is for myself, I guess it doesn't matter if it's not exactly the same measure, cause at least is almost an A5. I tried to look for A5 and it was very hard, and just fell in love with this notebook.

Hope it works! Thanks!! This is such a cool swap!

@romyisa78 Before writing things about me on here, I'd appreciate you talking to me first. You e-mailed me on 6/7 and I replied 6/7 so I'm not sure why you even said "No answer from ixistellar" when you apparently didn't even give me a chance to write back the same day without writing something about me. Please be patient. I have emailed the coordinator with my concerns about having an International swap with only 4 weeks in between exchanges. I'm in another journal swap and it's USA only and we have the same 4 week time period. Again, I feel that for this being international, in order to make deadlines, we need to spread out each round to accommodate for international exchanges. If not, I will be asking for my journal back and will drop from this swap.

Also, I have not heard back from the coordinator about my concerns which is disheartening.

Sorry. Did not want to annoy you. Wrote before i got the answer from you and forgot here to wrote that i have to change this and you answered me. My mistake. Sorry again

I'd love to see photos of this kind of swap - I was one very active with Circle Journals (sounds similar) But I would hesitate to join because I don't know exactly what is expected and would have to see a few before jumping in!
