Create a New(bie) ATC Bag #1 - USA Only

This is a Swap to make yourself a NEW ATC Bag. If you already have an ATC bag there will be a different group swap for that. This is to start NEW bags out moving around. Often, new ATC artists are afraid to swap their work. Some may be worried it may not be 'up to par.' We all started out as newbies at one point. Even newbies can make amazing ATCs. So this swap is to get your ATCs trading!

In this swap you will create a NEW ATC bag. You must make atleast 2 of the the ATCs you include. Obviously, you can make all of them if you'd like. If you have ATCs made by others you can include those too. This swap is meant to start trading your ATCs!

Basic ATC Rules

• 2.5in x 3.5in

• Sturdy back (Thick cardstock is a minimum thickness) You dont want to make something great and it fall apart before it gets to your partner.

Techniques, styles, themes and embellishments are unlimited and varied. They can feature... hand drawn, painted, stamped, mixed media, sewing, stickers, die-cuts, ephemera, inked, bling, ribbons, vintage, fabric, steampunk, flowers, magazines, book pages, stamps, basically anything you want to do or add, as long as it is 2.5x3.5, and its not a sticker or two on a tiny sheet of plain paper. Most important things are to use your imagination, try to make your ATC unique, and take some time. You are creating art! Always sign the back with your info. It could be worth something someday!

How to make your ATC Bag.

1. Take a small envie and write your name and address on the front. Make sure its big enough to hold the amount of ATCs that will be coming back home.

2. Write the directions for your Bag on the back or on the inside of the flap....Take 1, and add 2. Or Take 2, add 3.

3. Have # spaces 1,2,3,4 (more or less, its up to you) for the traders to sign their info. (Name, Location, date or swapbot ID) again up to you.

4. Write 'When all the spaces are full, please return home.'

5. Put 3 or 4 ATCs in your envie to start the bag.

This is your ATC Bag. Remember, you need to make atleast 2 of the ATCs you include.

Place this envie inside a bigger envie and mail to your swap partner. You will receive a swap bag from your partner. Then you follow the directions on their bag and send it out in the next ATC bag swap. That Bag will now be 'an existing bag,' so it will not be in the NEW ATC Bag swap next round. I will also be hosting a group ATC Bag swap for existing bags.

Due to postage rates, this swap is for group members in the USA only. Contact Vicki if you'd like to run an international version. No flaking! Please follow through on your swaps. No one wants to be flaked on. Rate your partner a 5 if you receive an ATC bag with atleast 2 of the ATCs made by them. This is a newbie ATC swap. Do NOT rate down because you dont think the ATCs are good enough. Art is subjective. This is meant to help get new Artists trading! Hearts are always optional. Please play nice. I will angel if needed, but will not allow flakers in any of my future swaps.
