Traveling "1st Paragraphs" of a book, Round 1 INTERNATIONAL version

This will be an ongoing swap. Please only join if you plan to join in every month, to keep the letters moving. If you have to drop out at any time (provided it's not during an active swap) please contact me, to send me what you have.

In this INT'L version ~ each swap will run around 6 weeks in length, allowing for postal times. Please send your swap early to insure it arrives in a timely manner

For Round 1 ~

Take a piece of lined paper (notebook paper would work great, must be handwritten), and on the first two lines, number your entry (it will be 1 since this is the first), list the title of the book, the author, and your Swap-Bot user name. On a second sheet of paper (this can be handwritten or typed if you prefer), number the page (again this will be a 1 this round) and copy the first few paragraphs of a book of your choosing. How many paragraphs is up to you, let it be enough to get interest going in the book, perhaps most of the first page. Once you have done both, mail out to your partner.

In the next rounds, we will add to that first entry. On the lined paper, each person will number their entry the next number, list the title of the book and the author. Then they will add their own page to the first page, sending BOTH pages on to the next person on the next swap, and so on. EACH round must be a completely different book than any you sent in a previous round.

New people can join in at anytime, starting their own chain of First Paragraphs. We'll go 8-10 rounds, then return to the FIRST person who sent and start up a new chain, provided there is continued interest.

Re-cap for Round 1 ~

• On notebook paper, number your entry 1 adding Title of book, author, & your Swap-Bot username
• On 2nd page, number with 1 and copy first few paragraphs from any book
• Send on to your partner

When you receive a swap, hold on to it after rating, as you will send it on with yours in Round 2.
