Gnome/Fairy/Owl Matchbox and mini ATC's

I've never done mini ATC's. Can you give the dimensions, or is it just as long as they fit inside the 32 ct. mb, they're OK?

They just need to fit inside the matchbox. Matchboxes vary in size a bit from country to country, so there isn't any real dimensions. Just have them fit in the matchbox with JUST enough room for them to go in and out easily. Hope that helps!

How big is a 32ct matchbox? This would be my first matchbox swap so I'm not very sure.

32 ct is just the small size. I am not sure how big yours are in Malaysia as some European matchboxes are bigger then ours. Here they are about 1 1/2 wide X 2 inches long and are about 1/2 inch tall. Hope that helps.

siayla, I might have to drop this swap for now. I'll join back again before the last sign up date if it's ok with you. It seems that as a newbie, I can only join 5 swaps at a time. I intend to do a few more private swaps to collect more ratings first. However, I'll start working on the matchbox and mini atcs so that I can send them out early when I join back again. Thanks for the dimensions of the matchbox. That helps a lot.

Hmm, I found out that Malaysian matchboxes are bigger as well... It is much thicker than 1/2... Would that be allowed actually?

Yes that size is allowed, just as long as you know you might get the smaller one back. Different countries all have different sizes. I have received some that size from Australia. I WISH had that size here as you can put bigger items in it!

You can make your ATC's to fit your matchbox or do them approx the smaller size listed above. Your choice but I do hope you decide to join back up.

I will be joining back. I'm hunting for items/images on the theme and thinking up a design right now! Do we put anything else in the matchbox except for the mini atcs?

All that you are required to put in is the mini ATC's...it's up to you if you want to put in extras or send extras along. I always like to but it is not a requirement!

I see... Thanks for the informations siayla! It helps a lot. I found out that the matchboxes here are horrible. It's stuck together with bits and pieces. Gotta try getting those that you can get from restaurants and hotels. Those are much better. I'm pretty sure I can get them by the end of this month. I can start making the ATCs now.

Just a heads up / note: I will be away on vacation from July 8 - 17 (during the time partners are assigned) so please keep in mind my matchbox will be readied as much as possible ahead of time and then sent towards the later end of the swap. I will not be available for contact or have checked in during at least a week's timespan - but I will not flake! So don't worry :)
