Monthly Grannies - Jan.

This is open to all group members, so it will be an international swap so please be aware of this.

This will be an ongoing monthly swap, each month using a different color. You can join any, or all of the months, if you join them all, you will have a total of 44 squares, to assemble into a nice sized throw. I have not included December, as this will be the month that you can assemble the squares, so you will have a nice blanket to snuggle in for the winter months, or even a possible gift for Christmas.

You will send TWO 6" basic traditional granny squares to each of your TWO partners. So you will be making a total of 4 squares.

Each granny must be made using the basic traditional granny square pattern which can be found here,

All squares must be made using a 4-ply worsted weight yarn, such as Red Heart or Vanna's Choice.

You will use one solid color for each square. Since the colors come in all shades you can use whatever shade you choose, as long as it fits the monthly color.
(for example for Jan. the color is blue- you can use navy, baby, sky, bright, etc.)

I have posted each months colors so if you want to work ahead and have squares ready to go you can.

Monthly colors are:
Jan.- blue
Feb.- pink
March - green
April - yellow
May - whites or cream
June - purple
July - red
Aug.- browns or tan
Sept. - senders choice
Oct.- orange
Nov.- gray

Please finish the squares, do not knot and cut off ends, ALL ENDS MUST BE WOVEN IN!

Please measure your squares! You should have about 5-6 rows depending on how loose or tight you crochet. They should be no bigger or smaller than 1/4 of an inch of 6 inches!

This is a group swap so there shouldn't be any problems, but if for some unforeseen reason something does happen, please let your partners and myself know. Communication is a good thing!

If joining each months swap, the squares from the prevoius month will nedd to be sent before joing the next month.
