EDITED 01/06/2014 - we only have one partner in this swap since there are only two of us. :) For this swap, photocopy a page from your favorite book (or you may use an actual book page if you like). Black out all but a few words creating a poem from the words. You may add embellishments, or draw/doodle on the page in between the blackouts, but it IS NOT NECESSARY. :) EDITED TO ADD: You may use a newspaper page as well as a book page. Use of books printed in languages other than English is acceptable. Please write an English translation upon the page containing the written poem. THIS GETS MISSED A LOT & is grounds for being down-rated: Your info will NOT be on the back of the poem…write your final poem (in entirety, all words), your name, date, and location (i.e. city, state, country, as it's always nice to see where swaps came from) on a separate paper. This is intended to be put into your partner's journal on a facing page. You will have 2 partners and will send a different blackout poem to each of them (you can always send more if you feel inspired). Pages should be no larger than composition book size (apprx 7.5 inches x 9.5 inches). You can decorate if you wish, but it is not a requirement. Use your imagination and have fun! Send something you would like to receive. We will NOT actually mail journals around, but we will decorate our own journals to paste our received poetry into. Please use a book that is at least composition notebook size, as that should be about the right size for any of the swaps you get. This is a repeating swap, and I will host at least once a month as long as there is interest. A rating of 4.8 or above please to participate in this swap. I will not tolerate flakers and late sends; will angel if necessary. Unrated newbies are not welcome in this series, as it can be a time intensive swap. |
