Description:

Round two is up today!!

I love list swaps and for this swap we will list your top 10 in the following categories:

  1. Actors or actresses
  2. Movies
  3. TV shows
  4. Musicians
  5. Songs
  6. Tastes
  7. Smells
  8. Crafts
  9. Cities (either that you've been to or want to go to)
  10. Tourist activities (either in your area or that you've been to)

It isn't me if there isn't something more. For at least one of those lists, it has to be not on typical (notebook, stationery or computer, post it note, etc) paper. It could be on a cute napkin, candy wrapper, labels, postcard, a menu, etc.

I love list swaps, but I love adding a twist. Have fun!

I would imagine, as it isn't mentioned in the swap, there are no rules about how the other 9 are presented?

VivaLaDiane 12/ 4/2013 #

That's correct. As long as they are mailed along with the one that's interesting, no rules (meaning absolutely NO email). As for me, I'm going to attempt to do all 10 on non-traditional paper. I'm up for a challenge :) I have a killer idea for the movies!

savannahjan 12/ 4/2013 #

Hmm...are you wanting 10 separate pages, one for each list? Or could we just send the 10 lists on however many pages they take up? I'm thinking I would just continue on down a page until it was full, that kind of thing.

I'm totally fine with not just using plain notebook paper, but I'm just unclear on the "how many pages" expectation.

VivaLaDiane 12/ 4/2013 #

I'm sorry for being vague but I hope to clear this up. The remaining 9 lists can all be on 1 piece of any type of paper (notebook or otherwise), 9 different types of papers, the sky or your imagination are the limit but only 1 of them being special or different than the others is all I require. If I need to clarify further, please don't hesitate to ask.

Someone inquired that I might consider changing this to a type 3 swap given that I will be trying something unique with as many of the lists as I can, but this is NOT required. It's how I'm going above & beyond for my partner. So given what I require, a Type 2 is the accurate rating code I will use.

Great swap!!! Love the idea(s)! One quick question - I don't even know about 10 crafts LOL I can think of maybe 2-3 that I have actually done, but not sure what to put for the others. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! :)

VivaLaDiane 12/12/2013 #

Crafts could be ones you've done, ones you've received and liked, ones you'd love to learn. Sewing, crocheting, making soaps, jewelry making, scrapbooking, journaling, zines, matchboxes, amiguirmi, ATCs, making candles, inchies, etc.

yureebok 12/14/2013 #

Any other requirements for the list writing itself, like explanations?

VivaLaDiane 12/15/2013 #

Nope. No explanations needed. Just the lists :)

thebragal 12/22/2013 #

If enough of us decide to do the unique version, I hope you will make it a 3. Maybe poll us by email when the swap sign up ends? I'm doing the unique version for at least 5/10. A fair minimum to call it a 3 dontcha think?

VivaLaDiane 12/23/2013 #

I will change this to a type 3 --BUT if you do get only 1 list that is different, you absolutely may NOT rate down, even if you did 10/10. I mentioned it because I enjoy the challenge but it is not mandatory.

Should I be binding the completed lists together somehow?

bethlems 01/ 2/2014 #

It's such a shame I've been banned from this swap, I'd started collecting things already. I was really looking forward to it :(

VivaLaDiane 01/ 2/2014 #

No need to bind the lists together whatsoever, I'm certainly not.

VivaLaDiane 01/ 2/2014 #

@bethlems All things considered, one day you might understand. This is a very time intensive swap. Only having 2 ratings here, I have to protect members. Being here 6 years I know that a good chunk of people have decided they don't like Swapbot about 10 or 20 swaps in and they never come back nor honor what they've signed up for.

I did let you know that a new round is hosted and that if you can build some mailed ratings in that time, I'd love to have you in that round. As I said, in time, I hope you'll understand.

lowercaser 01/ 4/2014 #

@Wingy oh my gosh. i just looked at your Flickr photos, and yours is amazing!

moxsapphir 01/ 5/2014 #

I've done #2, 3, and 5 so far. I think I will do list #8 as inchies. This is a lot more fun than I initially thought!

VivaLaDiane 03/ 7/2014 #

Note: I've contacted @yureebok to let her know to rate @KaelynMarie a 1 and to let me know when she did so that I could angel this. She hasn't done so as of this day so I will archive this swap. Should she rate her the deserved 1, I will angel of course.
