Description:

Everyone's busy from the first of November well into January so this swap will have a fairly long time span to give you time to make your block.

You will make a 12-1/2 inch square block using only black and white fabrics. The design and method of making the block is maker's choice -- a traditional block (many ideas online and in magazines), a block of your own design, a paper pieced block -- just so you use only black and white, applique if you like.

Use nice cotton quilting fabric. You will have one partner. This is a group swap so it is international. If you're worried about postage, it's not that much. If you fold your block flat and iron it, it can go in a standard envelope and won't cost more than $2.20 and possibly only $1.10 (mainly depending on your postal clerk).
