Dogs Leave Paw Prints On Our Hearts:)

I just want to say how much I love volunteering at a local dog rescue. The holiday season is rapidly approaching and I'm wanting to reach out to you all out in swap bot land to help some very deserving animals have an extra special holiday this year! The animals are so loving and the lady that runs the rescue appreciates anything and everything people do for them! RTR also pays other peoples vet and food bills so they can keep their animals so they don't end up in a bad way.....which gets very expensive. I just started sponsoring a couple of the dogs(Molly and Blue) there that are on special feed because of food allergies to help pay for the more expensive hypoallergenic food. They do the best with what they have and the animals are loved by everyone there. I am trying really hard not to take each and every one of them home with me:)

I am hoping that whomever signs up for this swap could help out this rescue by sending a donation inside a card telling Melanie(she runs the rescue) what you like most about dogs...or just animals in general. I'm not telling her about this, I want her to be surprised by receiving cards in the mail. I think she'll be surprised by receiving donations and cards from people all over the country. I'm not asking for $20 donations, but even a few dollars folded up in the card would make her day...and the dogs! The main part of this swap is to send a dog related item to your partner. It can be stationary, socks, drinking cup, knick knack, etc... Minimum monetary value without shipping is $5 please. It would be nice if we could read our partners profiles to see what their likes and dislikes are. You can wrap the item in holiday wrap if you so chose to, but it's not a requirement.
