Description:

PLEASE NOTE - I have extended the date on sign up and sending. My MIL passed away Sunday and I need to help my family. Thank you for your understanding.

This is a take-off of the Pick 3 Swap I host each month. BUT for this swap all items MUST be Christmas related!!

This is a newbie friendly swap. It should be extremely easy to do. Experienced swappers are also welcome.

Just choose three different things from the list below and send to your partner before the deadline.

a note on a family tradition-try to make it more than a couple lines

2 unused Christmas cards with envelope

1 sheet of stickers - none smaller than a US penny

1 unused Christmas postcard

3 handmade envelopes using Christmas print paper

1 Christmas craft pattern (full instructions start to finish)

1 Christmas bookmark

1 Christmas ornament

1 sheet of 30 address labels w/Christmas image

1 Christmas brooch/pin

1 Christmas ATC (they are for trading!)

10 gift tags

5 Christmas stamped images on white cardstock

2 sheets of Christmas gift wrap ~ at least 30x30 inches each

1 piece of Christmas fabric at least 4x4 inches

2 of your family favorite Christmas recipes on decorative recipe cards

3 scrap pieces of decorative Christmas paper (at least ATC size)

1 Santa item

1 wrapped stocking stuffer

Christmas candy - store-bought and wrapped

A package of Christmas Napkins

What to do:

Choose three different things that are on the list and send to your partner by the deadline. They must be different - example: DO NOT send 3 bookmarks. This does not count. And no, a handmade bookmark DOES NOT count as 2 items. This is not a profile based swap, but do check your partners profile for dislikes/allergies.

Newbies welcomed, with a well filled out profile and yes, I do check (To get ideas on a well filled profile, click on any established member's user name or icon. Feel free to check mine out.) No recent/unexplained low ratings.

Also ~ I live in "Boonyville" and sometimes our internet connection isn't very good. This is especially true when it rains & in the winter months. So please be patient, partners will get assigned and if needed I will extend the send date.

NEW UPDATE - Please note that there are a couple swappers from Canada in this swap. I allowed them in this swap because they also have USA addresses their partners can send to. So make sure and check your partners profile.

You have this swap as an electronic email swap.

institches 10/25/2013 #

Thanks @moonlightlaura I've fixed it!

Shellsney 10/31/2013 #

Looking forward to this. I am new, are we LIMITED to three items or can we send more? Just checking.

sunshinegirl76 11/ 1/2013 #

Hehehee, Shellsney - I love your thinking! I'm sure no one would complain if they got more rather than less :)

institches 11/ 1/2013 #

@Shellsney - you can send more if you like, especially if it is something that ties into your partners profile. That's how you earn hearts.

tabandbryan 11/ 1/2013 #

I am so excited to be a part of this! I am going out tomorrow to pick up some things off the list :D

jburb 11/ 1/2013 #

What are the dimensions for the sheets of wrapping paper? Like 24 square inches or 1x1?

jburb 11/ 1/2013 #

The Gift wrap, I mean.

institches 11/ 5/2013 #

@jburb - good question...I was thinking along the lines of the paper that is flat and in a package. I don't have any here to measure right now, but I'm thinking they are 3 x 3 foot.

Kimmi50 11/ 6/2013 #

transplanted1 11/ 7/2013 #

etrevino 11/ 9/2013 #

Can the brooch/pin be handmade?

institches 11/10/2013 #

@etrevino - yes.

fvtwout 11/10/2013 #

To bad that the swap is just in the USA. It sounds like a really nice swap. Enjoy everyone!!!

institches 11/11/2013 #

@fvtwout - thank you. Feel free to start an international one if you like.

jshearer 11/12/2013 #

vick302000 11/14/2013 #

Just to let my partner know that I love vintage even used. Just saying.

institches 11/15/2013 #

@jshearer - welcome to swap-bot. You may want to fill out your profile more. My swaps require a well filled profile. To get ideas on a well filled profile, click on any established member's user name or icon. Feel free to check mine out.

institches 11/16/2013 #

We're the #1 Swap! Thanks everyone!

Kimmi50 11/16/2013 #

I am with you guys love vintage as well. I went to Michaels and placed an order online last night at Hobby Lobby. I am glad I am not the only new one here. I can't wait to get to know everyone.

lifeisgood 11/17/2013 #

I am very excited for this swap to begin! It is hard for me to put anything together until I have seen the profile page of my partner. That makes it fun for me. However, It sounds like picking up some fun Christmas cards or vintage cards or holiday stickers might be a good idea! Life is GOOD!

JaMaJo 11/18/2013 #

I have a Christian/Christmas brooch/pin that I would like to send to my partner when we're assigned but do not want to cause a problem if they are not Christian. I am a Christian and I hope I will get a partner who is also. Please comment on this page. I will check back later. I don't want to offend anyone. Thanks! :)

institches 11/19/2013 #

OK everyone....I found some of the Christmas paper I was talking about. The pieces of wrap are 30 x 30 inches. So any Christmas paper at least 30 x 30 inches for this swap.

institches 11/19/2013 #

I see that some of you are posting what you want in the comments section. I would like to remind you that this is NOT a profile based swap. It is suppose to be an easy swap. Anything you receive that is profile based is a bonus and possibly a heart.

My theory is...if you can't use what you receive, you can re-swap it out later.

institches 11/19/2013 #

FYI....added Christmas napkins to the list, because I found some cute ones today!

institches 11/20/2013 #

Please note that there are a couple swappers from Canada in this swap. I allowed them in this swap because they also have USA addresses their partners can send to. So make sure and check your partners profile.

violetsamongus 11/21/2013 #

Looking 4 more times of joy and being a newbie in swapping. This will be a sweet challenge.

institches 11/22/2013 #

@violetsamongus - welcome to swap-bot! And thank you for such a nicely filled profile!

snpyrunner 11/23/2013 #

when you say Canada swappers with USA addresses? does that mean I am still sending to Canada? I just sent to Canada and it cost me an arm and a leg :( so I really have to send to the 50 states only

institches 11/24/2013 #

@snpyrunner - no, they do live in Canada, but are close enough to the USA to use a USA address too. Probably a PO box, not sure. So you would be sending to their US address.

That is why I only have my swaps USA. It's getting pricy enough sending within our country as it is. I just can't afford to send international (as much as I enjoyed doing it in the past)

crbertsch 11/25/2013 #

My condolences. My thoughts are with you and your family.

ladydy5 11/27/2013 #

Sorry to hear that. Condolences from all of us I am sure.

maloney1951 11/27/2013 #

Sorry for your loss.

paperpusher 11/28/2013 #

My deepest sympathy to you and your family

crystalite 11/30/2013 #

Very sorry for your loss...

AbbyGailsCorner 12/ 1/2013 #

So sorry for your loss. :(

Shellsney 12/ 2/2013 #

Oh I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Peace to you and your family.

Artistic 12/ 2/2013 #

A package of Christmas fun is on the way to my partner. Enjoy!

tamraramz 12/ 2/2013 #

Sorry for your loss.

laurenvicknair 12/10/2013 #

Can someone tell me who is my partner? I can't get the link open to see who it is. I'm new, this is my second swap.

laurenvicknair 12/10/2013 #

I figured it out. Looked from my phone ... my computer was malfunctioning. : (

dearkaryn 12/16/2013 #

Checked in late! :( Family emergency came up! But I did send my items on the 12th! :)

AbbyGailsCorner 12/21/2013 #

Never received anything. Currently marked as "not sent.". Sent my partner a note, wonder if I will get a reply.

ABackwoodsLife 12/21/2013 #

It appears that the person I sent mine to @JannyMae has disappeared...

AbbyGailsCorner 12/25/2013 #

Received my swap today! Yay! Faith restored.
