Description:

For this swap, we will be either knitting or crocheting one (1) dishcloth for our one (1) partner. The dishcloth must be at least 7" square or 7" in diameter (if it's round). Please use a cotton or cotton-blend yarn. If you're using a pattern you designed, it would be nice if you included the pattern with your dishcloth, but that's not necessary. If you're using a pattern that you did not design, please do not include the pattern with your dishcloth (unless you have the designer's permission), but feel free to write down the name of the pattern and where you got it from. This is an international swap, so please be willing to pay international shipping. I will gladly angel for this swap, but only after you've contacted your partner and then rated them a "1" if they have not responded in a few days or so. You must be have a rating of at least 4.92. I'm sorry, but no new swappers for this swap. If you're a new swapper, though, I'd be happy to set up a private swap for us to exchange knitted or crocheted goodies.

I love to knit and crochet. But my first favorite is Knitting. I read your note of joining and making a dish cloth. I am home alone, and do not need pot-holders. What I like to knit is a lovely baby's hat and booties. I use knitting knitting needles for the hat; and use a 12 peg round spool to make the booties. They are both darlling and work well with each other, especiall if using matching yarns. I use #4 yarn and a size 10-1/2 needle. Yes, the needles are that size, and they show the lovely knit, of which you may make different pattern stittches with-in 5" of the hat pattern. I knit 6 rows first to knit the k1, P1 for the 6 rows. I can send the pattern if you would perhapps want it. I learned how to knit when I was 8 years old and attended the School for The Blind in CA.
I enjoyed your messge. Your new friend, MiniQuilt

like MiniQuilt, I learned to knit at a early age too. I sat at my grandmothers knee at 9 and have knit ever since. But at 74 I decided it was time to learn to crochet, so for my 74th birthday I took a class in crocheting, I love it. Now I do both. crocheting is faster, but knitting sweaters is still my favorite.I am 75 now and knitting the ruffled scarves that are popular now and selling them at craft shows. See, You can teach a old dog new tricks!! LOL
