SO! Round 1 of 6!

Got your envelope? Good! Put a flat surprise in it. Decorate the heck out of it! Now put on more stickers! More tape! More more more! Write the name of the swap on the outside of the envelope! Send it to your partner!!

Your partner will NOT open your adorable envelope, but will place it, and a flat surprise in a larger envelope, decorate the heck out of it, Write the name of the swap on the outside of the envelope! and wait for our next round.

And so we will go for 6 rounds. At the end of which time you will receive, chain letter like, a pretty, large envelope full of special envelopes and nifty surprises!

Please do not join if you're unwilling to comment to all rounds. =D

So basically swap 1 should be a small envie?

kasini 10/20/2013 #

How do you rate your partner in between? A 5 for the receiving I guess? Do you give a heart?

cough this would have made an excellent secret santa swap...... :P I should have messaged you sooner with my idea, @sebastian122

@Kasini I kind of looked at the swap(s) like this when I was rating them- was it sent early? Is the envie cute?... lol, I think I rated mine with a heart.... because what's the harm in a free heart every now and then, but its up to you; typically though, in swaps like this, If I get the swap before the send by date is even up, I rate with a heart- if I had to wait on a swap, or someone made me late sending because they were late.... yeah.... no heart for them.... just my 2 cents :)

Also, just to clarify - we would be sending the entire envelope with the address on it inside a new envie? I mean as opposed to mailing a decorated envie inside a regular envelope? Does that make sense?

I apologize, I didn't think to look at the comments since we had done this before! Sorry!!

Yes, you're going to take a small (check size) envelope, put something cute inside, seal and write the swap name on the OUT SIDE so your partner knows not to open it. Decorate the heck out of it and plop it in the mail.

Your partner will get your adorable envelope, put it and some more goodies in a larger, decorated envelope with the swap name on the OUT SIDE and wait for partners to be assigned to mail. This is why it's good for you to join all 6 steps so I can keep things moving.

As for rating, when you get an envelope, it's a 5. If you think it's too cute to live, give 'em a heart. With luck, you'll get it back in the final round. ;-)

For those watching, this is the PM I sent out re: this swap:

Thanks for signing up! I hope you're still here tomorrow when I assign partners. ;-)

This is a blanket reminder that dates on these swaps ARE fluid! I will be adjusting as we go along, just keep me posted if you're out of town (for turkey day, etc) and need more time.

The last round I wanted to be a kind of X-mas present, so that date will be the most flexible of all.

I'm letting you know this NOW in case you want to back out, and I'd totally understand if you do. =D

Thanks, as always, for joining my swap. I think this is the neatest group and I'm so glad you're part of it. =D

Pattie, the cute one
