Description:

For this swap, you will send a hand-made postcard to each swap partner.

Postcards must feature at least 3 of the following genuine vintage ephemera:

  • book page(s)
  • bingo card
  • bus ticket/subway token
  • lace
  • fabric
  • photograph
  • business card
  • map
  • sheet music
  • labels (eg apothecary, medicinal, postal etc)

THIS SWAP REQUIRES GENUINE VINTAGE EPHEMERA, not reproduction. You may use any and all additional resources, mediums etc to complete your postcards - and the theme is entirely up to you.

You may use ephemera from any era 1960s or earlier; you can make your postcard flat or include 3-dimensional/raised items like buttons, paper flowers etc.

Postcards must be sturdy - no flimsy paper etc - but can also be made from recycled cardboard, cereal boxes etc. Standard size.

Since a lot of postcards are getting damaged in the mail, you will mail them unwritten and inside an envie for this swap. Please include a note to your partner with any details you'd like to share about your postcards, and include a small flat piece of vintage ephemera (not reproduction).

As always, general group/swap rules apply (see forum).

Since someone asked about this, just to clarify: you should choose at least 3 authentic vintage items - but the rest can be reproduction, scrapbooking paper etc...so long as it fits with an overall vintage/retro theme or "feel". I hope this makes sense - PM me if you have other questions :)

And to clarify if you would, vintage is considered how many years?

As stated in the swap description:
