Summer Tea party

This swap requires time, thought, imagination and maybe money for international postage. So if you are short of any of these you might want to give it a swerve! :o)

If you are still reading then it probably means, like me, you treat swaps like an event! Both leading up to a sending date, choosing and buying/making items, After sending, waiting excitedly for your partners reaction and equally excitedly waiting to see what your partner did for you.

The theme of this swap is to send a Tea party to your partner. There is no minimum spend (you may wish to make gifts so the value is in your time,) but there is an expectation of quality.

You can add an additional theme to your swap if you want.

A few ideas for you

English cream tea. Send English tea, scone mix, strawberries and cream candy, a union jack table cloth, a tea towel with strawberries on and a map of Cornwall or Devon (the places I personally associate with Cream teas)

Mad Hatters Tea party. Send Alice in Wonderland themed gifts.

Paper Tea party. Make and decorate a card teapot, a teacup, cakes, sandwiches and include a pack of lacy paper doilies

A crafting party - Search out papers, ribbons, card, embellishments, toppers, brads and stamps with a tea party theme.

A sewn tea-party. Dust off your sewing machine and make coasters, place mats, table runners and a table cover in a teaparty themed fabric.

A scented Tea party. See how many food related scented candles, wax cakes you can find!

The ultimate idea is yours these are just suggestions to whet your appetite. You are aiming to send your partner a gift worth opening so don't be surprised to get a 1 or 3 if you put a few cupcake stickers in an envelope.

The swap is senders choice but you may wish to wait until you have a partner so you can see their profile for ideas. I will allow 2 weeks after the last sign up date for you to send in case you are planning to make items or want to go personal shopping to tailor make your parcel especially for your partner.
