Description:

For this swap, you will make 1 postcard for each swap partner.

The rules are as follows:

  • biggest size to go postcard rate is 4 1/4 x 6 inches

  • your postcard MUST be sturdy - either recycled cardboard or artist materials

  • postcards must be sent naked, which means not in an envelope, and preferably with actual postage stamps.

  • you're the artist and you can use any type of style, design, theme including collage, drawing, zentangle, doodles, painting, layering, word play, washi tape, etc.

  • write a message and/or quote on the back for your partners

  • remember to check for correct spelling of name/address of swap partners

While we all realize that not everyone has the same skill levels, your postcard MUST show signs of time and effort spent in creating your postcards, regardless of how you design them.

Don't feel daunted by the swap picture - I found this online (source below) and it's just an inspiration. It may not appeal to everyone in style, and that's ok because you can make your own postcards differently. There are lots of other great ways to hand-make postcards and this swap is about YOUR personality shining through!

They must also be clean and free of anything gross like hairs or strong smells (smoke, mold, mildew, mothballs etc).

I'm giving everyone plenty of time for this swap, so please make this something your swap partners will love to receive.
