Description:

I've been wanting to do a journal swap and decided to host one here with all of you! I hope you'll join in the fun!

What you need:

  • a standard composition notebook (80 pages)
  • markers, crayons, pens, and/or paints
  • a rating of 4.95 or better, no 1's or 3's in the past 6 months
  • the first 2 pages (at least) will be a letter of introduction for your partner, tell them a little bit about yourself..

What to do:

This is not going to be a 'diary' type journal. You will fill it (at least 50 pages) with pictures, quotes, song lyrics, magazine clippings, interesting articles, recipes, poetry, doodles, share some lists (bucket list, wishes, books you want to read, shows you like, etc.). The sky is the limit - but please put some thought into it...think about what you'd like to receive. Decorate the pages (no sticker slapping), use your imagination.

Don't disappoint your partner! Think how you would feel if you got a journal with minimal effort, or got flaked on! Don't sign up if you aren't going to give this your best effort. Each entry should be at least one page....no slapping a picture and moving on, tell your partner about it and why you chose it. Maybe even add some flat surprises for your partner.

Lastly, decorate the cover of the journal and pop it in the mail on time! Easy-peasy! Most important though, have fun with this swap!

NOTE: Please take a few moments and read your partners profile. It's important to have fun with this and we wouldn't want to fill the journal with themed items if the recipient doesn't like or finds offensive, for example goth, religious themes, kawaii, etc.

Any questions or concerns, please post them here or message me! Thanks for reading and I hope to swap with you!!!

Does it have to be a composition book, or can we make a journal that is 8 1/2 x 11 in size, but maybe bound differently and made out of different paper, printed paper, etc. ?

Thanks for the great question! Any 8 1/2 x 11 journal is fine, providing it has enough pages to accomplish the task.
