LBoE - Make a plushie for my loved one <3

My son Benny is who I'd like a plushie for. He is 9, loves the Wiggles, Elmo, Lion King and Jungle Book. Please note that he puts EVERTHING in his mouth still, so safety eyes or embroidered are best for him, plus no small items that he could possibly swallow. Thank you!

My daughter is also 9 and would LOOOOOVE a Dr. Who inspired plushie, with a strong preference for a stuffed Tardis or a stuffed Dalek. She would probably also appreciate a unicorn or a classic Adam West Batman inspired toy as well, if Dr. Who is not so much your inspiration.

Oh crap, Naomi! I didn't realize that Benny couldn't have safety eyes when I made Mowgli for him! I should have asked. I'm very sorry.

I would like a plushie for my niece. I've been feeling kind of bad about our relationship lately. My sister inadvertently tried to turn her against me when she was a toddler by threatening her with me because I have a mental illness and have acted kind of scary in the past (never in front of my niece though). I want to try and repair that relationship, but my mom assures me that Allie, my niece, thinks I hung the moon. She is really shy around me though so I just assumed she was scared of me. Since we're not close, I'm not sure what she's into these days, but she LOVES purple and stuffed animals. Maybe something soft and comforting (as she has anxiety issues) like minky or a really soft fleece. A sloth would be great if you can manage one. Any animal would be fine though. As long as it's snuggly. Allie is 5 BTW and her birthday is the 4th of July.

And I'm in no way saying I would like this as a birthday gift for her by mentioning her birth date above. I just thought if you wanted to use a firework theme or something that would be cool, too.

Dont' worry Suzanne, safety eyes are ok because they're extremely hard to get off so he's good with them. As long as it's not just buttons sewn on, those he pulls right off and eats ;)

Any links as to how to use safety eyes, I have never tried them and now I am intrigued :)?

I don't know of any links, but they're super easy to use. One piece is like a screw with threads and the other is like a washer (I guess that's the proper term). You just make a small hole in your fabric and you stick the eye/screw through the hole. Then you fasten the washer on the back of the eye/screw as tightly as it will go. I'll bet YouTube has a video demonstrating it.

I'm going to have to drop unfortunately. I've got a new boyfriend and I'm spending all my time with him and don't really feel like crafting right now.
