Description:

I have decided to create some Member-Inspired Swaps because you all are so inspiring! See if you can guess which members they were inspired by!

The challenge: create (or find!) one accessory with at least one fabulous found object or upcycled item! I will attach some inspiration, everyone else feel free to add links or clickylinks below!

Here is the good news for those who (like me!) are a bit intimidated by their lack of jewelry-creation skillz ... super glue and instant pin-backs may make found-object pin/ brooch creation within our reach :) I plan to do a little more research and practice a bit and see what I can come up with.

And of course accessories could be scarves or hats or fascinators as well -- not limited to jewelry. Just make an effort to make sure that your partner could wear what you create -- do they wear a headscarf? Are they allergic to pigeon feathers? Do they have a phobia of washing machine parts?

As always, best effort and generosity with others' best efforts as we adventure down the creative path is the goal I have in mind! I've been checking to make sure we all maintain great ratings, but communication is appreciated, if there has been a recent problem! I will consider private swaps and I angel all my swaps :)

I have a question: Does it have to be a found object /made/ into an accessory? Thank you!

Found object incorporated somehow into an accessory counts, I think! Some of the ones I found (ie, pop cans and takeout containers) were labeled "found object" but the found object was not very recognizable ... and "upcycled" items like the fedora were not very recognizable, either. I was thinking that ephemera could be considered "found objects" for paper-related art/ craft. Let me know what you think -- I'm open to editing if others agree ...

I think you could possibly edit to include upcycled items? Personally I am a huge fan of upcycling anything (Love the challenge.) Plus, that way you could make the swap a little easier, as I was puzzling over what could possibly count as a found item... I mean... Takeout containers are great and all, but I wouldn't wear one, you know?

OK, I think the clickylinks above already contain a lot of upcycled items (ie, the takeout container becomes unrecognizable because it is cut up and rubber-stamped), so that makes a lot of sense. Thanks!
